A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

It is hard to believe we are already half way through January already.  I am no more organized then when this month started, I am still wishing for more hours in a day, or a beach house by myself for two weeks!  Or both for that matter.  These are the things I dream about.  Ok, some of the things I dream about.

There are the dreams where  I get to lay on the beach all day, a drink magically refilled in my hand, while my bank account is just growing and growing without much effort on my part.  Or I wake up suddenly in perfect shape and can eat whatever I like for the rest of my life and continue to become tone and fit….  How awesome would that be?

The likelihood of either of those happening is pretty much slim to none.  Unless there is a wish fairy somewhere I am unaware of, well I am just putting those out there should she/he be listening!

Realistic dreams.  I know my last post was concerning goals.  Dreams and goals are two very different things.  At least in my mind.  Goals are more immediate future, and probably the road to hop on in order to make your dreams come true.

My dream for the future has changed so many times as I have grown and changed and learned new things.  Although certain ones have withstood the test of time, leading me to believe it might just be one of the things I am meant to do.

I dream of becoming a published author (I know I have mentioned that before!) and with several series and stand alone books.  Perhaps a movie, mini series, or television show for at least one of them!  (Dream big, people, it will motivate you! Especially if you put it out there for everyone to see….) My second dream, that is dependent upon the first dream, is to own and run a cafe and bookstore.  This is one of those dreams that has been with me from the very beginning.  I love to bake, I love baking and cooking for others, and seeing them enjoy whatever I have made.  There was a time when I was very, VERY close to opening a bakery/coffee shop in Chicago.  Circumstances happened, and I had to put it on the back burner.  But whether I was running an Event Planning business, working as a hairstylist wanting to open a salon, there has ALWAYS been a cafe of sort attached to that dream.

Here it is, it may take you years, or no time at all to decide what you want to be when you grow up.  Or it may change as often as the seasons.  But pay attention, my guess is that somewhere in the middle of those changes there is probably one common theme that stays true.  Let that lead you to where you want to go!  Dream as big as you possibly can and then move mountains to make it happen.

So what is your big dream?  What are you doing to make it come true?

Much Love ❤

My dreams have also changed many times my common theme is to be able to be my own boss and be able to support my family on my own if something were to ever happen to my husband. My dream now is a tea shop! And working on getting bachelors degree to teach!

I am truly not a dreamer….I have NEVER been! i am a total realist. I think that my parents were not the type of parents to keep your dreams going….they were squashed with reality. Anyway, as I have traveled through this world for the past almost 50 years, one thing has never changed. I am always surrounded by children. When I was too young for my own kids, I had several that I babysat for. Then I had my own kids who are now presenting me with my beautiful granddaughters. I also drive a bus that is filled with kids. I tend to pass to them the idea that a dream is something to hope for. I love kids and I feel the most comfortable when I am with them. I do believe this nerve shattering calling that God laid on me is what I am supposed to do. I believe that I am somehow a guide for these kids. My dream is for them to be inspired by something I have said to them and for a seed to be planted. Silly I know, but it’s me and my dream!
